Data Deletion

Plain language: One tap inside the app deletes your account and everything we hold. No forms, no waiting, no support tickets.

1. Delete from inside the app

The fastest path:

1. Open the Wellex iOS app.
2. Go to Settings → Privacy → My Data → Delete account.
3. Confirm with Face ID / Touch ID.

Within seconds your account is marked for deletion. Within 24 hours all primary records are wiped from our production database.

2. Delete by email

If you have lost access to the app, email [email protected] from the address attached to your account, with the subject line "Delete my Wellex account".

We respond within 14 days (GDPR Art. 12 §3) and confirm deletion in writing. We may ask you to verify ownership of the email address before we proceed.

3. What gets deleted

Within 24 hours of your request:

• Account record (email, name, password hash, sign-in tokens)
• Privy embedded wallet linkage
• All daily summaries (WVI, sleep, HRV, stress, emotion, cardio)
• All raw biometric records that ever reached our EU servers
• AI conversation history and embeddings in our vector store
• Push notification tokens
• HealthKit-mirrored values written to our servers
• Bracelet pairing records and serial-number links

Within 30 days:

• Encrypted off-site backups expire on rolling schedule.

After 30 days, none of your personal data exists in any Wellex system.

4. What we keep — and why

We retain a minimal record of the deletion event (timestamp + opaque hash) for audit and anti-abuse. This record contains no identifiers that link back to you.

We also retain billing records for 7 years as required by UK tax law (Calon Wealth Management Ltd, Company Number 14813653, is registered in England and Wales). These records contain transaction metadata only — no biometrics, no health data, no contact information beyond what tax law mandates.

5. Apple Health data

HealthKit data is not stored on our servers by default. It lives on your device. Deleting your Wellex account does not affect data already in Apple Health. To remove data Wellex wrote to Apple Health, open Health app → Browse → [metric] → Show All Data → swipe to delete or revoke our HealthKit permission entirely from Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Wellex.

6. Re-creating an account

You can sign up again at any time with the same email. The new account starts empty — none of the deleted data is recoverable.
