Deposit Insurance Certificate

The institutional insurance layer that protects Wellex member deposits — 3 years, 15% / year.

Last updated: 2026-04-08

Plain language: Wellex is one of the first in the wellness-wearable industry to back its product with real institutional insurance. Member deposits in the Yield layer are covered for a three-year term at a rate of 15% per annum, underwritten by an independent insurance partner.

2. What is insured

The insurance covers member principal deposits held in the Wellex Yield multi-chain staking pool against:

  • Smart-contract failure on the pools Wellex operates or is counterparty to
  • Custody failure of the stablecoin layer
  • Wellex operational insolvency

The insurance does not cover:

  • General market movement of the underlying staking yields (APY is not guaranteed)
  • Losses from a member sharing their wallet keys or credentials
  • Sanctions-blocked payouts

3. Why we insure

The WVI algorithm is deterministic, mathematically bounded and independently reviewable. The yield mechanics are sourced from real multi-chain staking, not a token. We believe in the sustainability of the model — and the insurance layer is the visible proof of that belief.

4. Claims process

Claims are filed through [email protected]. The insurance provider handles underwriting and payout directly; Wellex acts as the arranging party, not as an insurer in its own right. Claim response time under the current policy is five business days from full documentation.

5. Policy transparency

The policy reference, underwriter name, and full terms are available to every member on request and are included in the Trust kit downloadable from the press page. The live audit link will be published on the Trust page as soon as the report is finalised.

6. Limitations

Insurance is a layer of protection, not a guarantee of profit. No insurer covers the normal market variation of yield — that part is honest risk disclosure. Please also read the Risk Disclaimer.
