What the band is made of and why.

The weave
The outer surface is a hand-woven blend of long-staple cotton and recycled polyester thread. Each band takes about 90 minutes to weave; the colour comes from the thread, not from a coating, so it does not chip or fade.
The inner liner
The skin-side liner is a silicone-titanium composite. Silicone for comfort, titanium fibre for thermal conductivity (so the temperature sensor reads accurately) and antimicrobial properties.
The clasp
A brushed titanium magnetic snap. Hold strength is 18 N — enough to survive a hard pull, low enough to release if it catches on something.
Hypoallergenic
No nickel, no chromium, no latex. Safe for the ~12% of adults with metal sensitivities.
